In fact, this project war not high-tech because using the foreign chips which were the core-tech and the most expensive parts -- not ourself's chips! What I did were designing the circuit board including microwave & low-frequency control & bias circuits, designing the module shell made of copper, and so on all by myself. Looked at technique aspect, this module was almost nothing, but during the whole project process I really got very much knowledge and methodology of research work. It can output up to 50W power in the band of 13.5-14.7GHz and can be utilized in both commercial and military communication. We need to have ourself's core-tech such as chips especially these kinds of chips.

This project was one of the pre-research work of InP Based Ultra High Speed DDS (Direct Digital frequency Synthesizer) chip. Developed a DDS-Test circuit board so that one can write the Frequency-Control-Bits in-systemly through PC -> MCU AT89S52 -> DDS chip AD9850 and then get the sine signal output signal up to 72MHz realtimely. The tasks included circuit design (DXP 2004), MCU programming (Keil C51) and PC programming (Visual Studio .Net). The key words were: DDS, In-System-Programme, Serial-Port Communication, Frequency-Control-Bits and so on.

In charge of all of the staffs and the related affairs in this group. Be responsible for the whole GaN HEMT based circuit design, simulation (using ADS mostly), and helped to layout this 2-18GHz/10dB Gain/0.1dB flatness Travelling Wave Amplifier (called Distributed Amplifier also) IC. Unfortunately, this well designed IC wasn't fabricated in the end. However, I can do nothing more about this. What a pity!

Developed the whole system of Industrial-Control-Computer based vision indentifying for the 2004 Asia RoboCon game. Be responsible for MCU & PC programming and periphery circuits design. The system can receive vision information of the targets via CCD camera, process these information by the Intel CPU of the Industrial-Control-Computer (about 28ms/frame) so that the result can control the Robot through interface to MCU:AT89S52.

Worked with the other 3 classmates together, we got the "Best Technology Award" of RoboGame 2003, USTC.
